These batteries are classified by the federal government as non-hazardous waste and are safe for disposal in the normal municipal waste stream. Exceptions: California requires non-households to dispose of these batteries in accordance with the California Universal Waste Rules; Minnesota (Hennipen County only) requires consumers and non-consumers to dispose of these batteries as a hazardous waste. Transportation Panasonic Alkaline batteries are considered to be “dry cell” batteries and are unregulated for purposes of transportation by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), International Civil Aviation Administration (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The only requirements for shipping these batteries by DOT is Special Provision 130 which states: “Batteries, dry are not subject to the requirements of this subchapter only when they are offered for transportation in a manner that prevents the dangerous evolution of heat (for example, by the effective insulation of exposed terminals). The only requirements for shipping these batteries by ICAO and IATA is Special Provision A123 which states: “An electrical battery or battery powered device having the potential of dangerous evolutions of heat that is not prepared so as to prevent a short-circuit (e.g. in the case of batteries, by the effective insulation of exposed terminals; or in the case of equipment, by disconnection of the battery and protection of exposed terminals) is forbidden from transportation.” For additional information on the transportation and disposal of batteries, please contact your local Panasonic Battery Sales Group sales office or visit our website at: www.panasonic.com/batteries ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ OEM Section ⇒ ⇒ INDUSTRIAL ALKALINE BATTERIES PAGE 3 AUGUST 2003 AM-1PI AM-2PI AM-3PI AM-4PI INDUSTRIAL ALKALINE BATTERIES: BATTERY SELECTOR GUIDE Typical Discharge Characteristics with Constant Current at 68°F (20°C) 10000 Cutoff Voltage: 0.9V 5000 1000 500 100 50 10 5 1 1 5 10 50 100 500 1000 Load Current (mA) INDUSTRIAL ALKALINE BATTERIES PAGE 4 AUGUST 2003 INDUSTRIAL ALKALINE BATTERIES: SPECIFICATIONS Typical Discharge Characteristics with Constant Resistance at 68°F (20°C) 10000 Cutoff Voltage: 0.9V 5000 1000 500 100 50 10 5 1 1 5 10 50 100 500 1000 Load Resistance (ohms) Typical Shelf Life at 68°F (20°C) 100 (LR20~6LR61) (AM1-PI~6AM-PI) 80 ~ ~ 0 0 12 3 Interval (years) INDUSTRIAL ALKALINE BATTERIES PAGE 5 AUGUST 2003 AM-3PI AM-4PI AM-2PI AM-1PI Duration (hrs.) Frequently asked questions

How does Industrial Trading differ from its competitors?

chervon down
Industrial Trading' parent company, GID Industrial, specializes in procuring industrial parts. We know where to find the rare and obsolete equipment that our customers need in order to get back to business. There are other companies who claim to do what we do, but we're confident that our commitment to quality and value is unparalleled in our field.

Is there a warranty for the AM-1PIXT?

chervon down
The warranty we offer will be based on what we negotiate with our suppliers. Sometimes, a part will be sold as-is and without a warranty. Our specialty, single board computers, tend to receive a one-year warranty.

Which carrier will Industrial Trading use to ship my parts?

chervon down
We use FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS. We have accounts with each of them and generally ship using one of those, but we can also ship using your account if you would prefer. However, we can use other carriers if it will be more convenient for you.

Can I buy parts from Industrial Trading if I am outside the USA?

chervon down
Industrial Trading will definitely serve you. We work with international clients all the time, and we are familiar with shipping to destinations all across the globe.

Which payment methods does Industrial Trading accept?

chervon down
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are all accepted by Industrial Trading. We will also accept payment made with wire transfer or PayPal. Checks will only be accepted from customers in the USA. Terms may available for larger orders, upon approval.
