This equipment has been 0 to 40,000 FT developed for a close air support aircraft. The generator is pad- WEIGHT: GEN: 24.0 LBS mounted on an auxiliary power GCU: 2.25 LBS unit. CT: 0.25 LBS The air-cooled generator is a brushless wound rotor, self excited PROTECTIVE OVER FREQUENCY machine. An internal PMG supplies external contactor control and FUNCTIONS: UNDER FREQUENCY OVER VOLTAGE generator excitation. The generator UNDER VOLTAGE drive shaft incorporates a shear HIGH PHASE TAKE OVER section designed to shear at a DIFFERENTIAL CURRENTS torque of 500 lb-in, ± 10 percent. The GCU regulates the output COMPLIANCE: MIL-STD-704A voltage of the generator and MIL-STD-810B implements the listed protective MIL-STD-461A functions.
