Documentation Number CP1140102 - pg. 1/1 4 Port RS-232/422/485 PCI Card CE Models: CP-114 CP-114I Models CP-114 and CP-114I are designed for RS-232 and RS-422/485 industrial communications. These PCI cards support a total of 4 ports each. Two of the ports are jumper selectable for RS-232 or RS-422/485, while the other 2 ports are RS-422/485. Each RS-422/485 port is capable of controlling up to 32 devices in a multi-drop environment. These cards support ADDC (Automatic Data Direction Control) while in RS- 485 mode. ADDC can easily manage the half-duplex RS-485 port's data transmitting and receiving without the need for extra code. In addition, on-chip hardware flow control and built-in termination resistors guarantee data integrity. Optical isolation on model CP-114I offers high reliability. All these attributes make the CP-114 and CP-114I suitable for harsh industrial applications.
