Datasheet MVME172PA2 VME Embedded Controller with Two IndustryPack Slots Dual IndustryPack logic interface for embedded monitoring and control applications The MVME172PA2 allows VME embedded controller users to achieve the price- performance value of RISC architectures while maintaining MC68000 object code compatibility. The inclusion of the Petra application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), which replaces functions formerly implemented in the IP2 chip and MC2 chip, improves the performance of the memory subsystem. Memory configuration switches enable the customer to tailor memory size for applications requiring smaller memory configurations. ■60 MHz MC68060 Ethernet SCSI RJ-45 RJ-45 RJ-45 RJ-45 Front Panel ■32MB of configurable SDRAM with ECC option ■128KB SRAM with battery backup IP A IP B Serial I/O Serial I/O ■2MB of Flash memory Controllers Flash Controllers 85230 2MB 85230 ECC SDRAM■8K x 8 NVRAM and time-of-day clock with battery 32MB Petra II ASIC backup Configurable NVRAM EEPROM ■Four serial communication ports, configured as 2MB RTC EIA-232-D DTE MK48T58 ■Two 16- or one 32-bit IndustryPack ports with one DMA channel per port (routed to front panel and P2) ■Six 32-bit timers, one watchdog timer VMEbus Ethernet SCSI SRAM Interface Controller Coprocessor MC68060 128KB ■SCSI and Ethernet interfaces Battery-backed VMEchip2 i82596CA 53C710 ■Two 32-pin JEDEC DIP sockets for EPROM ■Remote Reset/Abort/Status control functions ■On-board debugger and diagnostic firmware P2 VMEbus A16-32, D08-64, BLT, UAT, MBLT Master/Slave SNAPHAT Battery MVME172PA2 Details MVME17 2PA2 DETAILS Microprocessor Options IndustryPack Interface The MVME172PA2 features the superscalar MC68060 A key feature of the MVME172PA2 is the IndustryPack microprocessor, which achieves superb integer and logic interface. This interface provides a 32-bit data path floating-point performance from its RISC hybrid for the IndustryPack modules to the local MC68060 bus. architecture. The object code compatibility of the IndustryPack modules provide a wide variety of MC68060 with earlier generations allows a significant connections to “real-world” applications such as I/O, performance increase while preserving software control, interface, analog and digital functions. Up to investment. two single-wide IndustryPack modules can be installed on the MVME172PA2 and still occupy only one VME slot. TERRIFIC RESOURCE
This company has been a terrific help to us (I work for Trican Well Service) in sourcing the Micron Ram Memory we needed for our Siemens computers. Great service! And great pricing! I know when the product is shipping and when it will arrive, all the way through the ordering process.

GO TO SOURCE
When I can't find an obsolete part, I first call GID and they'll come up with my parts every time. Great customer service and follow up as well. Scott emails me from time to time to touch base and see if we're having trouble finding something.....which is often with our 25 yr old equipment.
