LIU TM TOTAL ACCESS 1500 DUAL T1 LIU ® The ADTRAN Total Access 1500 Dual T1 Line Interface Unit (LIU) is a common module plug-in unit that connects the channel bank to a T1 line at the DSX-1 level. All data formatting and line encoding, as well as back- plane timing and control, are performed by the ACT LIU. The LIU can be provisioned locally with on-board switches, remotely through the SCU craft interface, or remotely through network manage- PRODUCT FEATURES ment. The on-board switches are a subset of the provisioning parameters. All parameters are available when provisioning through the craft interface. � Two T1 lines providing DSX-1 or A faceplate LED indicates whether the LIU operation mode is based on DS1 interface to the network local or remote provisioning parameters.
